now. santa rosa is 47. here is how it looks. we are expecting this week a sunny sunday for today. tomorrow will be distinctly cooler. then we will get wet on tuesday. not as wet as previously, originally we were looking for an inch of rain, maybe now a 10th to an quarter of an inch. not a lot of big rain. just enough to wet the lawn pretty much. the latter half of the week looks unsettled. and on monday it looks like there should not be delays at the airport. new york is nice and sunny but chicago is expecting rain for monday. back here numbers in the low to mid 60s today. not bad at all for february. monday looks nice for president's day if you have that off. the extended is calling for wet on tuesday and the latter half of the week will turn chilly. temperatures only in the 50s for day time highs. so, it looks like a decent week ahead, a little rain. >> i can't help it. we are in february and we are talking chilly and 52? . currently 40 in santa rosa. we do have a starry night on tap. today's highs were substantial hi warmer than yesterday by a good 5 to 7 degrees. but still slightly below normal for this time of the year. mid-50s in pacifica, around the central play to 60 degrees at fairfield. back into rio vista and kordell ya. mid-50s in san jose, down from the average high typically experienced this time of the year64 degrees. tonight, freezing still in many in -- in land locations. 36 degrees in redwood city. back all the way to san mateo. this is the scene as you are heading towards the pay bridge this evening. we still have a little bit of backup in those non-fast track lanes. we will see some sunshine tomorrow of a some morning frost. looks like a dry weather pattern will continue all the way through the forecast period. and that's because this area of low pressure that dumbed some snow in the grapevine is not traversing an easterly direction making way to a huge dome of prior. that means dry conditions. if you wanted to compare dry conditions with this time last year, not too pad but nelless, these nu

degrees right now in santa rosa. here are your weather headlines. overnight temperatures mainly in the mid 30s to mid 40s. we have a warming trend just around the corner. beginning tomorrow, as those winds continue to die down, it should bump up temperatures and the warmer weather continues into the workweek. sunshine, mild, warmer, upper 50s to low 60s and plenty of sunshine for the final half of the weekend. it's because of a ridge of high pressure continues to build. so we aren't seeing any rain at all. definitely you can see in future cast, but we are talking beyond that. in the next seven days, it looks dry in our forecast. possibly by next sunday, we could see a possible change in the weather. for now, we are looking high and dry. pinpoint forecast overnight lows, once again cool tonight. and the winds will slowly die down, even though we could see gusts more than 20 miles per hour. very localized. 38 in concord. 39 overnight in san rafael. 45 in san francisco and 45 degrees out in pacifica. otherwise upper 30s if you're in mountain view and san jose. by tomorrow, lots of sunshine. a

, maybe not so much. santa rosa 32. tonight, vallejo, down to 39. oakland down to 40 degrees. radar is clear again. there are some signs that this time next week, this ridge of high pressure will build. but for the next seven days, not happening. high pressure centered off to our west, allowing some storms to make it into western washington, but nowhere within 500 miles of the bay area. high pressure off to our west, nice, sunny days, as the high expands, we're going to get into the upper 60s. some of you near 70 degrees when the high pressure area is at its strongest. we are chilly. sunny every day through the weekend and it's friday. friday is the day we will likely see some 70-degree readings, especially the south bay. san jose, you'll hit 73. mountain view 62. concord 62. fairfield 62, and how about o a high of 61 for san rafael. your extended forecast calling for mid 60s on wednesday. upper 60s on thursday and friday and mild, just not as mild for the upcoming weekend. seven more dry days in the seven-day forecast. >> all right, kenny, start doing your rain dance. >> leave on

is spot on for this time of the year and low 70s in santa rosa. notice the 70 degrees at the delta as well. 73 in napa and in sonoma. these lows dipping down between the 30s and 40s and we'll see a blanket of clouds overhead and still have a chill in the air and wind are dialing back allowing the fog to now form. this is the scene looking out to the golden gate bridge. notice a little haze near the lights. that's some of that patchy stratus development. for your monday morning a great start then sunny skies albeit cooler. and then again that west sea breeze to 15 miles per hour cooling us down. we have a wetter weather pattern slated for this upcoming week. first off area of low pressure banging up against the pacific northwest. it's beginning to break down the ridge of high pressure that will traverse in an easterly direction. here's an area of low pressure to kick open the storm door for a series of troughs that want to take aim on the state of california. partly cloudy, 49 for sunday and eureka. 60s in the interior section of the state and yes looking for snowfall on tuesday. mid 50s in

here in a couple spots. fairfield 34, concord 37, napa, are santa rosa 34. the low pressure area that gave snow to portions of arizona, scottsdale at 2,000 feet had some snow. that's pushing into west texas and new mexico. for us, in the wake of that low pressure area, we have a clockwise throw around there. if you were outside, you felt that breeze today. we'll v that once again tomorrow. the overall weather pattern for the west coast is going to be very stormy, very wet, very snowy in the mountains. but it all is going to miss us to the north because of high pressure parked to our west. the sierra will get some snowfall. but the bay area likely will remain try, temperatures trending into the 60s coming for the weekend and next week. mornings chilly, days seasonal: the storms just miss us, a couple showers possible in the extreme north bay. aside from that, dry again for another week. concord, san jose, 59 degrees tomorrow. pittsburgh 58 tomorrow. sunshine in san ramon. extended forecast, low to mid-60s over the weekend and dry. that's where we stay next week. zero rainfall! >>

about, but not that much. so maybe the sprinklers. 36 degrees tonight for santa rosa. napa down to 37. we have clear skies and sunny days, but it's cooling down. san francisco some fog tomorrow morning, 46 degrees, and yes, you guessed it, kpix5 is dry once again. snow pack taking a beating. top of the year, we were 36% above normal. right now we are 17% below normal. better than last year, but we are dropping rapidly. we need rain and snow to be dropping from sky. will there be any? yes. we have one weather system that will give us precipitation. we had one move through today. those clouds pushing out of the south and now they are heading toward flagstaff, arizona. the next weather maker will give us a rainmaker on thursday. the front is not here yet, so you'll get chilly. we'll have highs in the mid up toker 50s. thursday, rain. here comes a front moving through thursday and friday, we'll be wet because of that front, giving us our first rain. north view valley. showers get here for the morning commute on thursday. they will likely last through friday. upper 50s tomorrow, which is c
